The RIDE!!!

OK, So I have spent the last hour writing up this long and detailed blog post about the ride Jessi and I did a couple weeks ago. Right when I got to the end, I had this idea to compress the whole story into a couple of lines as a way to see how LAME it would have been to get into the Excursion 5 miles from home.

Don't get me wrong, I had a complete blast on this ride and for an awesome account on how it went with some videos to help describe our account of the ride. Visit Jessi's Blog as she has a great way of making it sound badass.

So here is my account in one long sentence...

'So we had the crazy ride where it started out in the sun, turned to rain, we decided to continue the ride into a downpour, crashed out bikes, got back on, kept riding, and 20 minutes left in a 3 hour ride, Rog showed up and we decided it was enough and got into the car'.

..now that would be the lamest ending EVER!!! So in true A+ form, we rode on.

New Ventilation in my bike shorts...I am working on a patent for them as you read.

All smiles after the crash...Just glad that we were both OK.
We finished it off we a outdoor hose shower in 40 degree weather and then a hot tub which was definitely the best decision of the day.

Washing off all the dirt. I still had to wash my clothes twice to get them clean.

BRRR!!!

Pain last a minute...quiting lasts for EVER!!!

What A Blur!!!

The last few weeks have been an absolute blur, I can barely remember what I have done. I know there was a Super Bowl, 2 outdoor rides with one involving my first crash (I will get to that soon), a trip to the mountain and a WHOLE lot of moving.

It all started when my landlord decided it was time to sell his house. Not that this is a problem but it did involve me trying to pack up all my CRAP and yes 90% of it is CRAP and trying to find a place to live. Fortunately, I have some awesome friends and had a few places to pick from.

Even though this is not my first, second or even third time moving a complete houseful of CRAP it still boggles my mind how one person can gather so much CRAP. It took many truck and trailer loads but I finally am moved out and now living with the Byrds, thank you to them for taking me in with all my CRAP. Also a special thanks to Roger and Jessi for loaning me their trailer because even though I now own a truck, I might have been moved out by 2011 with all this CRAP.

So now the fun part comes of unpacking some of my CRAP and trying to remember what boxes have which CRAP in them. Ohh the Joy!!!

As for training, well it has pretty much followed suit with all my CRAP and has been pretty CRAPPY. But now that life has slowed down to an almost managable pace and I can take a deep breathe, I can put my focus back on getting ready for Ironman.

It is 4 months away...CRAP CRAP CRAPITY CRAP CRAP!!!
